Headteacher's Welcome

A warm welcome to East Ward Community Primary School!

I am delighted to introduce you to East Ward Community Primary School – a happy and thriving school in the heart of our community.   We are a large, friendly school, which is always full of life and full of learning.

We are very proud of the successes of our school – the excellent relationships we have with our families, friends and our children.  Our staff, trustees and governors are dedicated to making East Ward an exciting, stimulating and inclusive school, where we can learn together in friendship. We have high standards in everything we do and we work hard to achieve our values;

‘Happy, Challenged, Successful and Proud’

We are committed to the learning of every child. Our children feel safe and happy – that’s how we believe they can reach their potential.  We nurture and care for them throughout their time with us. At East Ward we place great emphasis on providing a wealth of learning opportunities, both inside and outside the classroom. The curriculum is well resourced by, and supported by, an excellent team of teachers and support staff, working with a diverse range of creative practitioners. Extra-curricular clubs provide enrichment, fun and enjoyment.

East Ward is an open and approachable school.  The partnership between home and school is very important to us. Together we can promote the highest standards of behaviour, learning and achievement for our children.

I look forward to working with you and your family over the coming years in a happy and successful relationship.  Together, we will ensure our children receive the best educational experience, growing into well rounded, confident, caring citizens, ready to meet the challenges ahead.  At East Ward Primary School, we can make each child's primary school experience a time they will remember and treasure for the rest of their lives.
